Project Terms & Conditions

These Project Terms & Conditions apply to all branding, visual identity, web, and graphic design services provided by Joely Lynn Ltd (“the Designer”) to the client (“the Client”). By confirming a booking, the Client agrees to the following:

1. Bookings & Design Time

  • Work is booked in half-day (up to 4 hours) or full-day (up to 8 hours) increments.

  • Booked time is reserved exclusively for your project to ensure focus and high-quality results.

  • Time includes design, preparation, communication, and revisions undertaken during the booked period.

2. Working Hours

  • Standard working hours are 9:00am–6:00pm, Monday to Thursday.

  • Any work outside these hours must be agreed in advance. All times are UK time.

3. Booking Start Time, Cancellations & Rescheduling

  • All bookings are scheduled to start at 9:00am on the booked day, unless otherwise agreed.

  • The Client will receive a booking confirmation by email outlining the project scope, time allocation, any specific requirements, and the cancellation deadline. Please review and accept the confirmation as soon as possible to secure your booking.

  • Bookings must be cancelled or rescheduled with at least 48 business hours’ notice, excluding weekends. Business hours are defined as 9:00am–6:00pm, Monday to Thursday.

  • Partial cancellations or reductions in booked time within the cancellation period are treated as cancellations.

  • Cancellations made within this period will be charged at 100% of the booked project or day rate, as the time is reserved exclusively for your project.

Examples:

  • A Monday booking must be cancelled by 9:00am on the preceding Thursday.

  • A Thursday booking must be cancelled by 9:00am on the Tuesday of that week.

4. Project Scope

  • The project scope will be agreed in writing before work begins and may include branding, visual identity, web, or graphic design services.

  • Any work outside the agreed scope will be quoted separately.

5. Revisions

  • Your project may include a set number of revisions, as outlined in the proposal.

  • A revision refers to refinements of an agreed concept and does not include new concepts or alternative directions.

  • Significant changes beyond the agreed scope may incur additional charges.

6. Client Responsibilities

  • The Client agrees to provide consolidated feedback, approvals, and any required content on time.

  • Delays in providing information or feedback may affect the project timeline.

7. Fees & Payment

  • Fees are outlined in the proposal, booking confirmation or invoice.

  • Payment terms are 30 days from the invoice date, unless otherwise agreed.

  • For larger projects, a deposit may be required before work begins. This will be confirmed in your proposal.

  • Work may be paused if payments are overdue.

  • All fees are exclusive of VAT, where applicable.

  • Late payments may be subject to statutory interest and recovery costs in line with the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998.

8. Intellectual Property

  • All work remains the property of Joely Lynn Ltd until full payment is received.

  • Upon full payment, the Client receives usage rights for the final approved designs.

  • Drafts and unused concepts remain the property of the Designer.

  • Usage rights do not include the right to resell, sublicense, or modify the work unless agreed in writing.

9. Portfolio Use

  • Joely Lynn Ltd may showcase completed work in portfolios, websites, and social media unless otherwise requested in writing.

10. File Delivery

  • Final files are supplied in agreed formats suitable for their intended use.

  • Editable/source files are supplied only if agreed in writing.

  • The Designer is not responsible for third-party printing, development, or implementation errors.

11. Termination

  • Either party may terminate the project in writing.

  • Work completed up to that point will be invoiced and payable in full.

  • Any deposits paid are non-refundable once work has commenced.

12. Acceptance

By confirming a booking or commencing work, the Client acknowledges and agrees to these Terms & Conditions.
